Pull effort before nightshift tonight, glad i got off my ass to do it, got a vid of deads for form critique, 5x5 at this weight PB, then vid of 1rep PB Grin

apart from the AWSOME gloves !! looks ok ..i would mabie stand and inch further away from the bar on setup so when you address the bar your knees go over a little more .. (i know how you are doing it is how ripptoe sets up) but i think it will stop the bar moving out a little and stay nice n close to your body

@Boar- Oh BOLLOX!!! I did mean to put a note about the gloves, just got them on to help protect the finger wound atm! The first vid I have is without gloves and nearly tore my finger open again!
Yeah I was further away from the bar before ripptoe instruction, so I'll go through it next week, should I be worried about my toes coming up the way they do at the top of the locking out? Only just noticed that!?

@general ill, cheers! I only got the pad same time as cage as it was a freebee and someone I train with moaned about the bar! I don't really care for using it tbh, I like the bruises!

lol at those gloves.
All looking good. as has been said, I'd stand a fraction farther out, take the grip,look up, drop your bum until your shins touch and then pull. Was plenty fast in the video and well done on the PB lifting that's great stuff.
Obviously I'm no deadlifting guru by a long way (I do about a set a week haha) but as you asked Happy

yeah cheers buddy, I enjoyed it today, just paying for it now, could do with the rest in bed rather than being in work on my feet till 6am!
Just need to get my squats progress and form on it's way now, pissing me off

Re: Squats if you don't already have some get oly shoes for squatting (and overhead), also watch all the videos you can of olympic litters squatting that's how it should be done

I'll look into the shoes, Any suggestions where to look or pointers at what I'm looking for?
I'm constantly trying to look at vids, going to get into te elite fitness "so you think you can squat" vids next week and compare and adjust my form towards them and see how it goes, looking forward to it, also in touch with my friend locally who entered the last welsh strongman comp which I think was in march (his first comp an came 5th) for some pointers and to show me some stuff

just to compare-and stop feeling like too much of a t**t! lol, the only gloveless set i recorded yest, this is the oe where i only got 4 reps out, thinking about it, probably the fact i couldnt hold the bar with finger f**king up that i just gave up,

i see more in this vid what you mean about being further back from the bar, i dont get to use much push in my legs at all

Looks good mate, try and squeeze your glutes when you lock the bar out, it will help you to maintain stability too.

When you lower the bar try and not fall forward onto your toes.
