after not getting home till about 7:45 tonight i was a bit annoyed that i wasnt around to train this afternoon, i decided at 8pm to go and try out the new gym by my works to stay focused and get a session in, SO FCUKING HAPPY ABOUT THIS! [Grin]

slightly annoyed at diet, but dont mind so much as fasting for a bit will do me good at points, and i had no choice

today

woke about 10am

2scoops whey in water

30gms oats in whole milk

no food all day till 730pm then bar a packet of hula hoops, i will at least take a whey shake and chicken sandwiches with me tomorrow just incase times forces no food again

food at 7:30 was half of a whole chicken i bought, with roast potatoes, 2 yorkshires and bisto gravy

just back from gym

whey with water

will have chicken sandwich or 2 in about an hour

then whey with milk before bed

Pull ups 3x8 *did pull down underhand close grip on lat bar here, being in a gym made me feel poo about not being able to do the sets of pull ups yet! :/

Dips 3x8 *did skull crushers here, again being in a gym made me feel a tw4t about not being able to do the sets of dips! :/

Power cleans 3x3 *low weights, working on form, and forgot im dod 3 reps on these, definitely going heavier from the off next time

Calf raises 3x8 *wanted to feel the burn with these so did a few more and i did them on the leg press so i imagine off the block would be better and harder...

loved the fact i made sure i trained after all today, and the new universal fitness gym by work in cardiff is really good, proper gym, not like the last one i was at, i would recommend it to anyone, especially "proper" bodybuilders [Wink] the kit is awesome, had a short chat about the place and power cleans with one of the 3 owners, really nice guy, didnt catch his name tho!?

A good gym is so important! A good partner (or partners) is a big benefit too Mike.

yeah was really good there mate, time will tell though as it could get over busy at times, but seems great for now, i'll still be training at home though too, so its a nice change every now and then

unfortunately i only get a partner every so often at home, no chance with a gym as most go to the leisure centre by me which i hate, my home gym is bigger! lol

had some s**t news last night about 5:50pm, got informed that my mate from work had died, was only 5yrs older than me, had some diabetes problems, went to hospital and died within a few hours Unhappy
pretty upsetting, also angry at the same time, f**king life is s**t, and dont start me on there being a god, wtf like? went out and got f**king bolloxed

today's a new day, few momentary thoughts, but very busy which was good, come in the house from building a roof as soon as it got dark, quick chicken sandwich, then dragged myself to the gym again, got back about 9:15, justcooked up 3 ,eals worth of bolognese, 2 are going in the freezer, 1 for tomorrow to just heat up in the pan, and im currently tucking into a portion which ive tried with brown basmati rice, its nice Happy

looking forward to the gym after work already though, itching to get on with the deads but they aint till wednesday now!

training staright from work tonight, felt fatigued walking even driving there, been up since 5am after 4hrs sleep sad
went ok though, was happy by the time i came out of there, decent enough session, and as always, glad i pushed myself to go! a mate of mine was in there, just joined, he's a novice strongman, and martin jones was there too, nice guy, bit of a beast! look forward to some tips on form and having a crack at some of his strongman kit he's getting over there big_smile

Good squats, and deads look great

But learn to put the bar down! (Seriously, reverse the upwards movement, you're asking for an injury like that.)
