I think to a certain extent it potentially does. I have a mate who was able to bench high 170kg's and also snatch around 120kg so I think you can do it (bench press) as long as you have the mobility to receive the snatch in a strong overhead squat position. If I get too tight around my shoulders and I'm unable to receive the bar in a snatch I'll probably ditch it (well.. replace it with close grip bench at least!) Grin

I do it on a Monday because the weightlifting club will fall out with me if I do on weightlifting night! Wink Only joking; I do it because I enjoy it.

Also, check out Chad Ikei. According to his website; Chad broke a World Record Bench Press and National Record Snatch within the same month. Pretty awesome feat of strength.
