Comments: Supersetted Clean Pull (from Thigh) and Snatch Balance. Also supersetted Military Press and Pendlay Row. Pressed out some of the 90kg jerks - I think I shorten the split when the weight increases.

Any time is fine, I usually traing monday, tuesday, thursday, friday around 4ish. I think I'll be training through at strengthshop all next week though but after that any time!

Cheers mate but I'm getting my ar*e kicked by the lads in the gym - John fronting 150kg for reps and Deano, who's 12, fronting 100kg with solid technique!

I need to sort my thoracic out. Years of poor deadlifting have made by spine horribly rounded. Working on it all the time though!

Comments: First poor session since I started the training log. Just wasn’t on it today. Weight felt slow coming off the floor. Tweaked my adductor playing 5’s on Thursday and by the time I got to squats I could feel it niggling so kept it light.

Comments: Enjoyed the session tonight! Didn’t have my lifting shoes so left out push press but will pick this up tomorrow morning. I kept the bench strict (ie ar*e on bench) and managed my 3x10 at 70kgs on the close grip bench.

What do you reckon you'll do to sort out that hip drive.

P.S. Don't feel bad about Dean haha. He's a VERY strong young lad and he always puts in the effort when he's training!

I reckon I'll start doing some plyo's and a lot more power stuff. My background is in powerlifting which was always quite slow so my vertical jump etc is crap!

Certainly don't feel bad about Deano - far from it! It's inspirational! He POWER snatched 65kg last night! Amazing!

Comments: Okay, on the whole pleased with tonight after what was a pretty p*ss poor start on Split Jerks. Had a miss at 90kg and another at 95kg but got a bit more fired up for it and got the hundred up. Added Waist Snatch in to the programme to help with hip drive and turnover speed. Will catch Military Press and Pendlay Row tomorrow.
