Decided I hate them. They hurt. Strict overhead press 60kg 3*5 Squat 60kg 3*5 Hope to do events on Sat, so want to be a bit fresher. | ||

Even relatively light weights work it hard. Stones (to 66 inches) 100kg 10*1 Got it up second time by pushing against platform, then spent next 8 trying to work out shoulder. 2 more of these were successful but haven't really got the hang of it yet. Very fun though! Tyre Light*5 Light*5 Medium*8 in 1 min 30 Most enjoyable session in ages. Going to keep events light and keep mixing them up for the time being. 1 moving event, 1 loading event, 1 'condition' event is roughly the template. | ||

Serious exertion headache/sweats with these. Good for more. Farmers'walk - Turn at 15m 90kg per hand*30m 90kg*30m 90kg*30m Got progressively easier each set. Going to start extending the distance. Nursing a bit of a cold. Head felt like it was going to explode at certain points, otherwise, good. | ||

Squat 60kg*5 100kg*5 140kg*3 180kg*3 200kg 3*1 220kg*3 Written down this doesn't look unusual, but was probably the best squat session in ages. My form felt terrible with 200, I really struggled, but I stopped with 200 and made sure I got my form better before going on for 220. Too often in the past I would either give up and call it a bad day or, most likely, move up to 220 and hope for the best. Looking for 5 reps soon. Things are looking up then... Deadlift 120kg*3 170kg*3 190kg*3 210kg*2 210kg*2 210kg*2 210kg*2 210kg*2 Technique and speed got progressively better. Could just have put 5*2 but somehow this is more satisfying. The plan is under way. | ||

I put it on when I first joined here, on the principle that it was my max at the time. My all-time best squat was 250kg (with a belt), about two and a half years ago, weighting 120kg. Following this I decided to lose some weight as I had a good squat but felt, and probably looked, like s**t. 'The plan' or ambition - dare I emntion it - is 260kg with belt and wraps by the end of the year. | ||
