Guestimating the bar and tyres/wheels at 45kg. It certainly feels at least that. With a belt I feel confident I could get the 125 continental. Stones 100kg to 70 inches*1 - confident with this now 100kg to 74 inches* about 7 attempts. Getting closer. Seems to be that I will need to press this on. Medley 70kg farmers 20m, tyre*2 flips, chain drag 20m 90kg farmers 20m, tyre*2 flips, chain drag 20m 110kg farmers 20m, tyre*3 - left chain as this felt enough | ||

I guesstimated the height by standing in front then measuring against me. I think it might be the platforms used in the final you did, however they are on pretty rough ground and you lift out of a dip, so that adds a little. They're bloody high. | ||

Not really much of point. Nothing exceptional today. Feeling hesitant on the deads, somewhat conscious of my poorly repaired belt buckle and a feeling that all is not right in my lower back. Need to perhaps add some rehab somewhere and keep the weights low until I need to go heavier. | ||

I'm retired mate. Going to spend weekends with my family now I've got a son. Basically I chose strongman over cricket - tough choice though! Used to open the batting as a 'pinch hitter' and field at first slip. I used to get terrible shoulder and elbow injuries from throwing the ball so stopped doing that a couple of seasons ago, which must have been quite funny to see from the sidelines. | ||

Axle 45kg*5 75kg*5 95kg*3 115kg*f,1,1 (continental clean) 120kg*clean, fail press Felt like more than 120kg, but no more that 130. However I'll keep recording the weights like this until I know otherwise. Feeling positive about this for the Northwich qualifier, which is the first time I've ever felt positive about a presssing event. Medley no.1 - thick handle farmers and medium tyre 70kg farmers*15m, tyre*2 flips - warmup 90kg farmers*15m, tyre*3 110kg farmers*15m, tyre*2 - tyre muddy and too difficult by now 130kg farmers*8m - bloody hard on the grip. Left hand kept going. Need to make these a strength. Medley no.2 - duck walk and drag 155kg duckwalk 7m, chain 15m 155kg duckwalk 7m, chain and anchor 15m Decent session considering the weather and the state of my sinuses. | ||
