today saw the north west push pull up at colone weighed in at 80.9kgs the lifts went like this

bench
130kg easy press
135kg still easy tbh
140kg fail . id like to fink the reason for this was i brought the bar down to high on my chest but it just wasnt there today. shows how much that pause on the compertition lift takes out of you as i have nailed 145kg touch and go back in the gym.

deadlifts
200kg easy pull
220kg suprisingly easy considering thats the most i have ever pulled
230kg fail i managed to get the pull even managed to lock it out but i let go of the bar when puting it back down . went a bit light headed after this . just gutted that my stupidity cost me a 10kg personal best. but at least i no i have the strengh to pull 230kg if not the brain capacity to lower it lmao .

so finished with a total of 355kg which may i add beat martin flett hahaha jus had to put that in after him saying he wud beat me lol

luking forward to may now hopefully will achive more at the lancs/cheshire back to the gym till then .

that pause is an absolute ducker it knocked 10kg off my pb the first time I tried it. I train with it all the time now but I'm not really convinced it's any better than training touch and go and you don't get to use as much weight either.

good deadlifting today, shame you let go of it!
