i find it so interesting to see how you guys all train as everyone does it all so differently, im so s**t at some events and so im just hoping to pull through by doing well in the more static events, i find juggling training in the gym really hard with events as i find myself over training as im used to a high volume of work in the gym, im new to strongman and its a very difficult transition.

just focas on your bad events mate. and maintain your good ones. say on sunday just hit the yoke. your log, deadlift, farmers, tyre flip and stones are great. if you can sort your yoke out then your ready to rock and roll. just smash the yoke light every week for a load of runs. the rest you can just maintain.

Strong s**t mate.

If your going to nail strongman I'd drop the dedicated bench session.

this is where i struggle, as a bodybuilder im used to training every body part, i know when im training events i really suffer from overtraining, thats when i get injured and burnt out, i guess you just have to train either as a strength athlete or a bodybulder, rather than trying to be or do both at the same time.
