On the Texas deadlift bar today which I’m learning how to take the slack out of at the start. I think I could have done 5 on 260. But I’m noticing that it’s harder to keep a straight back on this bar compared to a stiffer one. It will take getting used to

Deadlift

Multiple sets of 3 on 220 and a few singles

I find it challenging to pull the slack out on the Texas bar whilst not rounding my back. A stiff bar is much easier to keep a straight back on

Eurgh. Two weeks in a row these have declined. Little to no shoulder pain

Hack squat

5:00. I don’t feel these in the quads as much as I did in the old gym. The ROM on the new machine is greater so I’m not doing paused reps. I think paused reps to just below parallel was putting a lot of emphasis on my quads. Touch and go reps done ATG on the new machine not so much

The hack squat wasn’t agreeing with my r knee. The belt squat is much kinder and it is a good piece of kit even if it does look gimcky
