Thanks Stephen, your 300KG squat was amazing as was that deadlift! Yeah it would be awesome to come and train with you some time if for no other reason that to see that friend of yours in action when annoying pricks are doing curls in the squat rackTongue

Started a new cycle today, decided to do seated presses for 5/3/1 as they do the job of strengthening the bottom of the bench press which is my main weakness for raw bench. I'll be adding all sorts of wee things here and there to help improve my lifting prospects for the unequipped championships and the worlds

Seated Press

45KG x5
47.5KG x5
50KG x10 PR

Did 32.5KG x12,15 at vertical level
42.5KG x12,10 medium level

Did 11 sets of pull-ups - one for each set of pressing: 7,7,7,5,5,5,5,5,5,4,4 reps

Worked out at Warrior's Gym in Scotstoun today with the boys from POA. Was pretty good. 8 or so platforms with 2 glute-ham benches.

Deadlift

Was still sore in lower back and tired overall from Saturday's epicness but I was rearing to go

150KG x5
160KG x5
170KG x13 PR First 5 reps were fast one after the other but rest were separated by a few seconds and eventually quite a few seconds.
Really worked on form - I know that when it comes to sumo deadlifts - poor set-up can make what SHOULD be a light weight feel like a max effort

No elevated platforms (yet) so no deficit deads this time which sucks cuz these are great for my grip (double overhand on all sets) and really work my hams/glutes giving great bottom-end strength and arguable lock-out too

So tried my hand with goodmornings - light weight but found out why they are so renowned - and dangerous - have to be really careful - very tiring too

Good Morning

40KG x10x3

Ab Pulldown

No 7 x10,8,8

Glute-Ham Raise

BW x10,10

Devastating - absolutely humbling and excruciating - I love them tho maybe not as much as Wullie does Happy

Worked out at Warriors Gym again with BDFPA vets. Was really good having platform to myself though it did take some head scratching to calibrate bench to my style.

Bench Press

72.5KG x5
77.5KG x5
82.5KG x7 Failed 8th rep cuz the bar holder slashed open my finger right in the same place I cut it last time. Really annoying

Lock-outs

105KG x10x5

Probably should have done fullrange close-grips for 5 sets and then done a triple with lock-outs but I was curious

115KG x3PR

Pull-Ups

x5,5,5,4,3,4,3,3,3,3,3,3

In between all bench sets

Krok Row

32.5KG x15

Managed to get dibs on squat rack as gym didn't open till 10 and conveniently enough my morning laziness worked in my favour Tongue

Squat

127.5KG x5
135.0KG x5
142.5KG x7 PR

Box Squat

Put suit on and used 63% of 1rm

125KG x2x10

Really focused on sitting back and exploding off my glutes/hams

Hammy Curl

Clamped legs together to focus more on inner part

43KG x10x3

Reverse Crunch

7.5KG x15,12,12

Ab/Adductor

Adductor 77KG x10,10,10
Abductor 91KG x12,12,12

Callouses in my hand really impaired my deadlifts today Unhappy

Deadlift

160KGx3
170KGx3
180KGx3 Sucks. Not just hands holding me back - just felt incredibly difficult. I wonder if doing all those chin-ups is the reason for this?

Good Morning

50KGx10x3

Ab Pulldown

No.6 (?kg) x10x3

GHR

Haha give me an arm transplant and I'll consider it :d

Bench

77.5KGx3
82.5KGx3
87.5KGx5

Was really hard - different bench and different bar probably the reason - may need to go narrower with this bar

Lock-Outs

105KGx3
110KGx3
115KGx3
120KGx3
125KGx3
130KGx1 PR

Kept going till found max - great ego boost

Close-Grip

60KGx10x3

Easier than at Stevies for some reason

Pull-Ups

In between pressing sets:
5,4,4,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3

Seated Row

60KGx15x3
