hi guys starting a journals today so i can record my workouts and event training.

im from dublin ireland start to train for strongman about year ago and started competing this year have done a 4 comps this year 1 open 1 novice and 2 seniors, hope to do at least one more comp this year.

goals i have set are:
log press 140kg for 1 current 125kg
log press 100kg for 10 current 10 reps(done)
lift a atlas stone of 145kg
axle press press 130kg current 115kg
deadlift from floor 260kg current 230kg
squat 270kg current 250kg
super yoke 400kg for 20m without drop
atlas stone 145kg(done)

im strong on a lot of things like squatting, super yoke, farmers and lots of other things im all legs any of my strongest events are moving or anything involving legs, my overhead is starting to improve but is very poor it lets my down every comp, and deadlift is very bad too lets me down all the time. so im going to start a new programme in 2 weeks so i hope i will get my much needed gains. for next 2 weeks i cant train much as im on hols and other commitments, but will be training as much as possible.

anyone fell free to leave a comment on any of my posts and rip apart what i doing wrong all feedback is needed

cheers

I assume it's the clean that holds you back on the axle?

If you can do a 125 log I'd say you ARE a good presser.

i have long arms it holds me back i find i have good days and bad days. Ive started to train with a 8" log so i have to use more range of movement. the 125 is on a 12"log, can get 118 on the 8"log. going to try 130 on the 12" went get back from hols
