Pavel said:nearly had it.I didnt realise it was a battle beetwen my and Shane to qualify.

yea , shane just hoiked it up from the chest position coz he is a mong ..you looked like you were gonna shoulder it , having tracky bottoms on probably made it slip more ... i chalked everything up

nah mate ..the deadlift was a wierd one .....more on general conditioning (although as smalls missed it ,you probably needed a 200+ deadlift)

I'm hoping to be looking at at least another 20kg on my dead by then. So should be okay i hope. Just have to see how things go. Hoping that at being about 5'10 should help with loading events. Well as long as i can get the stuff off the deck

My reasoning is the tyre flip took more out of me than I expected maybe.

Dave has 10k better dl and a better squat than me, but got 7 reps.

No way was that a deadlift event, it was a squat event, my deadlift is s**te if that was a deadlift event i would of not got 20 reps, the only person i can remember that didn't put there back straight and powerlifting style squat it up was Ryan aka lancaster assasin who decided to keep his legs straight!!!!!

maybe due to his knee, or inexperience?? Proberly the knee!!!

I agree, my squat is crap and i couldnt put legs into the car, my deadlift is 210kg+ and those where 2 very hard reps, was definatly more a squat style event imo. Alot had to do with getting the positioning right as well.

It was the injury shane i couldnt get down to it Unhappy

Allen turned up that morning to crew the comp many of the athletes were late arriving and looked like no shows he offered to compete Bob said no too heavy but could guest lift to make even numbers he did all events first to set a target when one athlete pulled out with a injury Allen did the loading event twice so no one went alone he didnt get any points a trophy or qualify an hour after the comp we were still loading kit in the van and picking up litter
I think we should be proud to have peaple like this in the sport and not run them down

Well said and I thank all my crew who did a great job, as half of the crew were on a plane to sunny spain, A BIG THANK YOU TO Alan FOR doing two jobs on Saturday,
I must say one thing I have worked out all the different scores and there won't have made a diffencet.

oce again many thanks to crew and all competitors for a fab day.
