Yup and I stuck to it for today at least.
Last week holiday sailing off West coast of Scotland. Wet, cold and awesome in that should be miserable but nowhere I'd rather be way.
Didn't walk barely at all for a week, so squats today were going to be tough.

Squat 60 3x5 Fine, but hard. Form stayed tight, concentrating on hips etc.
Front sq 50 3x3 Fine
chins 3x5 45deg grip(PR for sets across)
bench 40 5x5 Warmup only barx8 so a bit poor.
plank+20kg 1min, 1min

It was wicked. I'm not kidding about the wet, rained a lot and my coat oozes when it gets too wet. Winds were force 8 plus gusting, we were in a couple-ton 10.5m steel yacht, and it was constant reef sails, need more sails, reef again etc, so you can't even scrunch down into your coat and keep the warm air in and the wet out. But a proper experience, and frankly what I wanted.

Today;
push press 40 3, 0(racked on carotid and nearly passed out), 2, 2+so close, 2 (i think)

strict 27.5 5,4,5 Kindof laybacked, maybe.
row 45 3x6

swim 20mins and knackered.

I've got pointy collar bones and pathetic shoulders so if I rack a little wrong it's easy for the bar to end up behind the clavicle, and to strangle myself. Felt a bit off for rest of workout, really, but could be just wimp-ness.

Yesterday climbing. Fun, anf not lost as much as I sort of expected. Couple 5 leads, one rated 5+ but I don't think it was. Nice 6a+ topropes to finish. Awful pump in forearms tho, and one route mid session I could only do a move at a time, my fingers were giving out. Hand/bent wrist works quite nicely on square holds tho.

Today;
squat 62.5 3x5 Easy. Concentrated on opening hips, knees out, on the way DOWN; they do stay out if I don't but this seemed to give a real tension in the hip. Nice bounce. Effort to keep all the cues going, but felt easy.

oh squat for lolz. barx10x3 been a long time, so remembering tech.
snatch balancy playing about some

bench 50x1, 45x3 crappy narrow bench, felt weak.

I'm dropping the leg assistance stuff in favour of linear prog on squats, so had time and inclination to play with other stuff. fun, but have a lot to learn

Still getting back to it. Shocks me everytime how sore/stiff I get after a single week off.

Some eejits using the platform and the sole oly bar for T-bar rows, of all the sh*t they could do. I hate watching them do that to an Eleiko bar. Anyway, powerclean/DL outside the rack, have to concentrate on people walking past a bit which is really annoying.

PC 40x3, 45x3x2 OK, feeling weak tho'
DL 80, 100x3, 110x2, 120x2x1, 110x1 Not to sharp really, and grip slipping a bit.
DB oh 12.5, 3x5 each arm.
Deads are a bit stalled again with my squat at a standstill. Might be worth a shot at Coan-Phillip or something instead of just pulling something.

Football, 1hr. Actually saved a goal.

I've decided to go for a next competition next year, maybe March. Number-chasing was not doing me any good, and I am a bit obsessive. I do plan to max on dead in a few weeks, hoping to break 135.

Monday;
Squat 65 3x5 alright but fighting the knees.
F sq 3x3 50 fine
Bench 40 5x5 fine
3 chins. Knackered, went home.
Tuesday;
Push press 40 3,3,3,2 fine
Strict 27.5 3x4 playing with laybacking
Plank +20 1min, 45sec
Swim 30min

Today; nothing, enjoying a rest.

Squat 67.5 3x5 Pb for 3x5 actually. Fine. Left knee is wobbling, but I'm pretty sure the active knees out on decent is the key, and I just need to concentrate.
Oh squats with bar 2x10, 30kg 1x2
Snatch balance with bar some, some falling on my arse. Trying to drop to parallel and it's hard, but getting better.
Bench 50x maybe 1 Spotter touched it. Don't know what would have got.

Today,
Power clean 50x bunch of fails, 2x1 alright. Fails were solid high pulls, but wasn't concentrating on getting under to catch.
DL 80x3DOH no belt, 100x2 I think DOH 120x1
130x1 P fricking R Finally! I've had this for ages, nice to finally prove it. Accidental victory grunt 1xfar too loud
115x1, 110x3 bit of volume, good.
DB alt OH 12.5 3x5
chins i think 3 holding straps, 3 on finger tips, 1 pullup then some one arm hangs.

Football, 5 aside 1hour. Fun, but utterly exhausted by the end. Took protein shake, lunch, biccies and several cups of coffee to feel alive again.

Squat 70, 3x5 Proper nervous for some reason. First set OK, second tried to physc up and as usual physched myself out, so it was junk, 3rd had a longer rest and thought about it, so fine. I'm going to increase Thurs, but be quite critical.
Bench 40 5x5 Again struggling with form
Plank+20 1.10, 55sec

Came down with migrane aura on the way home, prob explains the shaky tiredness. Pretty fun walking round supermarket semi blind.

Thankfully auras only lasted an hour, although still woke up nauseous and headachy this morning. Hope it's not a brain tumour Wink Perked up by 12, so went to the gym.

Push press 40 3,3,2,3
3rd set 3rdrep slammed straight into my jaw, but would have had it. up weight back to 1s next week
strict press 27.5 5,6,6 Good-ish
swim 30min

Saw the funniest attempt at power cleans ever; half squat with the bar resting on quads, literal jump.
